Sue Sobel is a Board Certified Art Therapist and a Licensed Practicing Art Therapist. Her qualifications include a BFA degree in art from Bradley University, an MAT degree from University of Louisville, and an MA in Expressive Therapies from University of Louisville. As of May 2016, Sue has completed a certificate in Gerontology from Bellarmine University.
In addition to art therapy, Sue has 32 years of art teaching experience with JCPS, retiring in 2014 from Liberty High School, an alternative school for at-risk students. Her teaching career included teaching art to at-risk middle and high school students as well as a psycho-educational drug education class. Currently, through LET Sue is providing art therapy to seniors in a skilled nursing unit in a retirement community and in a memory care unit in a personal care home. She also co-leads an annual eight week art therapy group for women in recovery at a halfway house.
