Lynn Baker is a Board Certified Music Therapist. She completed the Music Therapy Equivalency program at the University of Louisville in 2009. While in this program Lynn worked with a child with autism, older adults at a Wellness Center, individuals with psychiatric diagnoses and patients in a general hospital setting. During her 9-month internship Lynn supported the emotional, social and psychosomatic well-being of hospitalized patients, their families.
From 2009 until 2016 Lynn provided both individual and group music interventions to the residents of a local ICF/ID, who are diagnosed with severe and profound intellectual and developmental disabilities. The interventions addressed cognitive, physical and emotional needs. Currently, Lynn work in private practice with a variety of populations, including children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, older adults, and individuals diagnosed with dementia, and adults with general psychiatric and substance abuse issues. Through LET, Lynn works with individuals on a memory unit in a personal care home and at with adults at Our Lady of Peace Hospital. Lynn also works with individual clients through LET.
